General Fund

The General Fund takes care of TRA's day to day expenses. Including general site maintenance, fuel for lawn maintenance, up keep of equipment, buildings, utilities, plumbing, drainage, electric, etc. This is probably our most important fund.

1950 Society Endowment Fund

Members of the 1950 Society have chosen to include The Robertson Association (TRA) in their estate plans. By naming TRA as a beneficiary in a Last Will, Trust, Life Insurance policy, or similar arrangement, members can create a lasting impact that supports our organization well into the future.

You may also make tax-deductible donations to the 1950 Society directly.

Funds from the 1950 Society Endowment are reserved for true emergencies—situations where no other financial resources are available to address critical needs.

Adopt-A-Tree

Help grow something lasting—one tree at a time!

Support TRA’s Adopt-A-Tree Program, originally launched in 2011 to enhance the natural beauty and comfort of the Old Timers Reunion campground in Dailey, WV. Your donation directly contributes to a greener, more welcoming environment for all who gather here.

It’s easy to take part—you or your grotto can donate a tree—or several! Each tree sponsorship is $150.

Every tree you donate adds to the beauty, shade, and legacy of our campground—helping future generations enjoy the same vibrant landscape we cherish today.

First Aid Fund

The Robertson Association (TRA) volunteers maintain and manage all first aid equipment used during the Old Timers Reunion. They also fund and restock essential supplies such as bandages, gauze, wraps, and other first aid materials needed throughout the event.

The annual Band-Aid fundraising event traditionally covers most of these expenses, but outside donations are always appreciated to ensure the continued safety and preparedness of our reunions.

Kiddie Korral

The Kiddie Korral is a fenced area within the campground designed to give younger children a safe place to play, away from traffic and other hazards. It features swings, climbing structures, and a comfortable seating area for parents to relax and watch their kids.

After dark, the Kiddie Korral transforms into an outdoor movie theater where families can bring their camp chairs and enjoy a film under the stars.

Donations to this group are always welcome and are used to keep the playground equipment safe and well-maintained. Contributions also help repair and maintain the movie projection equipment and screen as needed.

Memorial Garden Fund

The Lutz Rock and Memorial Garden offers a peaceful sanctuary within the campground where visitors can sit, reflect, and remember. It is the special site for the Old Timers Reunion opening ceremonies, featuring plaques engraved with the names of members who have passed—serving as a heartfelt tribute to their memory.

Each year, this garden provides a meaningful opportunity to honor our friends and family while cherishing the good times we shared.

Donations to the Memorial Garden Fund help maintain this beautiful space. A dedicated volunteer team lovingly tends to the plants and flowers, ensuring the garden remains vibrant, clean, and welcoming for all who visit.

OTR Endowment Fund

Established in 2025, the OTR Endowment Fund was created to help address the rising costs of running the Old Timers Reunion. Donations to this fund are invested, and the income generated is used each year to offset costs of attending OTR.

The amount you donate is never spent; it remains invested to generate ongoing income for the reunion's support.

By contributing to the OTR Endowment Fund, you help ensure the longevity and continued success of this cherished gathering for generations to come.

OTR Museum

Celebrate the history, memories, and enduring spirit of the Old Timers Reunion.

The OTR Museum, founded by longtime member Dale Ibberson, is dedicated to preserving more than 75 years of Old Timers Reunion history and celebrating the people who built this remarkable community. From early reunion badges and artifacts to photos, documents, and memorabilia, the museum serves as a living record of OTR's story and the caving culture that has thrived around it.

Still in its early stages, the OTR Museum represents a heartfelt effort to collect, protect, and share the traditions that make OTR unique. Each display helps new generations appreciate the camaraderie, creativity, and adventures that have defined the reunion since its beginnings in 1950.

Visitors are warmly invited to explore the museum during the annual reunion in Dailey, West Virginia, where the past comes to life through exhibits that showcase the evolution of caving, the fellowship of grottos, and the milestones that have shaped OTR's history.

Your contribution can help the museum—and the OTR legacy—grow. Donations support preservation materials, exhibit construction, and the cataloging of historic collections to ensure these stories are never lost.

River Stage and Viewing Platform

A tradition like no other!

The Sunday River Party has been a highlight of OTR for many years, bringing together friends old and new to relax, dance, and celebrate another unforgettable reunion. The River Stage—originally built in 2007—has hosted countless memorable performances, filling the air with live music as attendees enjoy the cool waters of the river below.

Over the years, the stage has seen several updates, and exciting improvements are still on the horizon. The next addition will include a viewing platform, giving everyone—including those unable to join in the river itself—a comfortable place to enjoy the music, laughter, and camaraderie that make this event so special.

Your donation helps us maintain and enhance this unique OTR tradition. Contributions go directly toward stage upkeep, safe and accessible improvements, and continued upgrades that keep the spirit of the River Party thriving for generations to come.

OTR Sauna Renovation

Relaxation, renewal, and community—core parts of the OTR experience.

The OTR Sauna area is undergoing a major renovation to ensure it remains one of the most unique gathering spots at the reunion. The project began with the construction of a new permanent hot tub, offering improved comfort and efficiency. Next on the list are additional permanent facilities, including a changing house and other upgrades that will make the area more functional, inviting, and accessible for everyone.

Sound and Music Fund

Each year, OTR showcases outstanding bands and musicians on the Pavilion stage, creating unforgettable live music experiences that bring our community together. The exceptional audio and lighting services provided by our dedicated sound crew enhance these performances, earning widespread praise for their professionalism and quality.

Our original sound and lighting equipment was generously donated by Johnny Parsons, and over the years, many contributions have helped us upgrade, including the recent installation of new LED lighting. However, we still aim to enhance our technical capabilities to make every performance even more spectacular.

Share the Wild Side

Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of OTR’s main activities, the Wild Side is a secluded, peaceful retreat surrounded by towering bamboo and vibrant wildflowers. This quiet sanctuary offers guests a serene place to relax, socialize, and reconnect with nature.

Visitors enjoy tables for gathering and a small foot-bath pond, welcoming all who wander in to experience its calm beauty.

Though naturally wild, the Wild Side requires dedicated annual maintenance—pruning, cleaning, and setting up soft lighting—to maintain its charm and ambience for every reunion.
