Esteemed TRA Volunteers,
Members of the executive committee and work weekend coordinators met Sunday night to discuss this year’s Work Weekend schedule in light of the COVID-19 situation. With a sense of social responsibility and an abundance of caution, we have unanimously decided to suspend all 2020 Work Weekends at this time. Please consider the TRA site closed to all visitation and work for the time being. We plan to revisit the situation in early June.
In addition, the budget committee has had extensive conversations in regards to TRA expenditures in 2020. At this time, the prudent course of action is to protect and preserve TRA’s financial assets. As a result of these discussions, the TRA budget committee is recommending suspension of all non-negotiable budget items until this situation stabilizes. Therefore, we ask that Krewe leaders do not spend any budgeted funds at this time. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me. Hopefully I will be back in touch with everyone bringing good news in June. Until then, everyone stay safe!
